David Beckham celebrated his 50th birthday with a celeb-packed party in England, but one couple who weren't there? Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn and Nicola skipped the event despite literally being in the U.K., and now there's major drama in the family. Like, the vibe is Victoria posting a group photo and awkwardly tagging all her kids except for Brooklyn.
According to TMZ, Brooklyn and Nicola flew to England and "tried" to meet up with David and Victoria solo, but were "rebuffed" and told to come to the party. Which they refused to do, because they're allegedly locked in a feud with Brooklyn's brother Romeo and his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull (apparently "Brooklyn doesn't think Kim is in the relationship for the right reasons").
Meanwhile, a source tells the Daily Mail that drama started when Brooklyn and Nicola didn't join the family to celebrate privately in France.
"This is all about Nicola. It’s a terribly sad situation and it has been going on for a long time. They adore Brooklyn, their children are everything to them, but Brooklyn isn’t talking to them, he isn’t talking to the family and David and Victoria are heartbroken. It is now the end of the week and despite Brooklyn flying to London with Nicola with every intention of celebrating his dad’s 50th birthday with him, he hasn’t taken part in any of it. Weeks ago Brooklyn told them he would be there and they were expecting Nicola. Now David and Victoria have no idea what is going on."
A friend of the family added, "This is nothing to do with Kim and is all about Nicola. All David and Victoria want is their son back – and they will be there to welcome him any time."
Unclear why David and Victoria are laying the blame on Nicola, but another insider tells the outlet that "Victoria and David would do anything to get their son back, but they are done with Nicola now. Nicola basically finds a way to start an argument then she pushes him to not speak to his family and then he doesn’t show for family events. She’s done this before every family event since the wedding. As for David’s birthday, it feels like it’s all part of the same pattern."
Nicola and Brooklyn have yet to speak out on the situation but...stay tuned?
